Common name
[edit]I have never heard of this plant referred to as the Alabaster plant. What's the source for that as the most common name? Live forever is quite common. And the scientific name is often used too. -Willmcw 19:56, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Jepson calls it bright green dudleya or green liveforever, though here is a reference for alabaster plant Nereocystis 17:25, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- That reference is merely a mirror of this site. ;) -Willmcw 19:39, Jun 9, 2005 (UTC)
- More sensible to have the species at its sci name - MPF 12:57, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Subspecies are endangered, but probably not species
[edit]Here's a couple of references for showing that 2 subspecies are endangered, but I can't find a reference for the species being endangered.
I believe that it is correct to remove the endangered list under the species, and explain the endangered status of subspecies below. Does this sound reasonable? Nereocystis 17:25, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Yes. Go for it. Thanks, -Willmcw 19:42, Jun 9, 2005 (UTC)
